Over-running engineering works at Surbiton caused delays for train services this morning.
Commuters waiting at stations for trains coming out of Clapham Junction towards Weybridge, Epsom, Sutton and Balham saw trains flying past them, or cancelled.
Some services ran fast, missing out stations, while others were cancelled at short notice.
South West Trains apologised for delays and changes to services to aggrieved people on twitter, explaining that the over-running of works caused knock on problems.
@SW_Trains train "CANCELLED" this am. But sailed thru station not stopping. Glad 2 know your stats are more important than your customers

@sarithabowen Which train are you waiting for? There are some delays following earlier overrunning engineering works at Surbiton.
