A Thornton Heath man has been charged following the Million Mask March
Out of the 50 people arrested from the Million Mask March a Croydon man has been charged with assault.
Mark Edwards, 50, from Thornton Heath, was arrested and charged with assault on police and possession of a class B drug in The Strand.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on December 7.
The march took place on Thursday, November 5. Large crowds gathered in Parliament Square with many wearing the ‘Guido’ masks of the anonymous anti-capitalist group.
2,000 officers were sent from the Metropolitan Police.
Out of the 50 people arrested, 48 have since been bailed.
