Prolific Wallington extra Ninette Finch has featured in more than 1,000 TV shows and films and is still going strong at 82.
You might not recognise her if she walked past you, but Miss Finch will be instantly recognisable to anyone who pauses their favourite TV programmes and films.
Miss Finch can be seen in prime time shows including Downton Abbey, Eastenders and was on set in four films in the Harry Potter franchise.
She said she does not get star struck when on set and said the part of an extra is an essential part of any production.
She said: "As an extra you are part of the crowd, you're there to provide atmosphere and to help get the characters from A to B.
"If you work in an office you wouldn't go into the manager's office and have a chat. You might say hello when they walk past you, but they are there to do a job as well."
Having previously worked at the Sutton High Street branch of the HSBC bank, Miss Finch started out as an extra in 1999 for "something to do," but getting new parts has seen what was a hobby turn into a second career.
She said: "I thought it sounded like fun when I first looked into it, and it is, but it's very hard work.
"I now like to see things that I've worked in to see if I could have done anything better and sometimes you're in for one second and that's it.
"That's why I never tell my friends that I'm on the TV tonight, but instead that they missed me."
Miss Finch has now started to receive small acting parts as a result of her work as an extra.
