I would like to say a thank you, through your columns, to everyone involved in putting on the Sutton Vintage Bus Running Day.
I spent a remarkable and very happy day roaming the borough on, and snapping, many magnificently preserved vehicles while chatting and reminiscing with the running staff, fellow passengers and photographers.
I also enjoyed your article and photographs about the event. As I expect you will have heard from scores of enthusiasts, your Routemaster photograph caption was under the photograph of another class of bus, the RT. I enclose a couple of snaps I took at the Tooting Broadway terminus about 1960 which shows the difference between a Routemaster (RM) and the RT which was about 20 years its elder.
