There is so much conflicting information in the world today that the world populous does not know who to believe.

Constant problems arise such as is global warming man-made or a natural phenomena? Who is telling the truth in the Middle East conflict? Is bird flu a pandemic in waiting that we should take seriously or not? What is the real truth concerning future energy demands and the capacity to satisfy them?

These and other major world problems in near future will have a direct effect on the human experience. With so many conflicting interests around, who is right?

This is why nations need a completely impartial and independent global advisory body so that fact can be separated fully from fiction. If not, the world will definitely take a wrong turn at some point in the first quarter of the century which would where this will be a totally catastrophic event for humankind.

Unfortunately, politicians still take an insular nationalist view where the wider interests of the world are secondary.

This mindset will eventually bite back at us in a very big way and people will then ask why were we not better informed and advised. Unfortunately again, then it will be too late, as humankind will no longer exist.

Therefore the sooner that politicians worldwide place world issues first and nationalistic interests second, the probability of human survival becomes far greater. But conversely the continuation of domestic self-interested policies over the solution to primary global problems will hasten the total disintegration of the human experience itself.

Overall, the writing is on the wall.
