Over the past few weeks there have been numerous letters and articles concerning the closure of both the Hobkirk and Newent day centres.

It was most upsetting to read of this in the newspaper since our MP Edward Davey has been silent on this matter.

"Liberal Democrats are the party of ideas and inspiration for Britain."

"Our positive policies will put people first, improve our public services and protect our environment."

"We have a duty to pass on a world fit for our children and grand-children."

The above sentences are from the Liberal Democrat Policy. The Liberal Democrat Policy briefing states: "We live in an era when more and more people can expect to live far beyond the age at which they will retire from work. Britain's population is growing older: the number of pensioners by 2040 is expected to have risen by over 40 per cent."

When is Mr Davey going to stick his neck out and speak up against these closures? Mr Davey where are you?
