A South Croydon man has raised thousands of pounds for charity by cycling 500km for six days through Namibia.
David Lyell raised more than £3,200 for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) by undertaking the gruelling cycle challenge last month.
The 52-year-old cycled through Damaraland, one of the oldest deserts in Namibia.
He said: "This was my third challenge in aid of deaf children and one of the toughest. The trip was a real adventure - although the heat and the hills were really tricky sometimes, I met some incredible people, and saw some spectacular desert scenery in Namibia."
