A 45-year-old man is in a critical condition after being hit by a bus in Kingston.
The man, who has not been named, was hit by a route 71 bus in Brook Street at around 5.30pm last night.
He was flown to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead by air ambulance after sudffering serious head injuries.
Police said he is in a critical condition after initial surgery.
Witness Dominic Eade caught the aftermath of the accident on camera. At 6pm the London Air Ambulance helicopter landed in the car park behind the Jobcentre Plus building and took the man to hospital.
Mr Eade said the road was closed in one direction for police accident investigators and a contra flow system put in place causing long delays for motorists.
