Tooting-born I'm A Celebrity winner Matt Willis has asked American TV and music producer David Gest to be his best man.
The pair struck up an unlikely friendship when they appeared together on the ITV reality show presented by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Former Busted singer Matt, 23, will tie the knot with his TV presenter girlfriend Emma Griffiths in a white wedding in August next year.
"David is probably my best mate right now," Matt told the Mirror newspaper. "I speak to him every day and hang out with him about three times a week.
"There is a 30-year age gap, but it doesn't ever come into play. He's a really great, funny guy."
Gest, a veteran of the LA entertainment industry, is best known for his failed marriage to Liza Minnelli.
He is currently a judge on Grease is the Word, a talent show searching for two stars to play the characters Danny and Sandy in a West End production of the cult musical Grease.
