SHORNE Wood Country Park, Brewers Road, Gravesend, generates much of its own energy from wind, solar power and sustainable wood fuel.
The park is now launching organised Nordic walks to give residents a chance to enjoy the countryside while improving their health and fitness.
Taster sessions in the sport, which involves walking with poles, start on May 19 at 9.30am and cost £7.50.
Regular walks are then free.
