ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14
AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4(7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985
AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
SYDENHAM ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate crane lifting operations they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Sydenham Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Sydenham Road from the common boundary of Nos.8/10-12/14 Sydenham Road to its junction with Wellesley Road;
(b) the existing one-way working from north-east to south-west in Sydenham Road imposed by The Croydon (Prescribed Routes) Traffic Order 1970 will be suspended between Nos.8/10-12/14 Sydenham Road and Dingwall Road;
(c) the parking bays within that length of Sydenham Road referred to in 2(a) above will be suspended.
3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Dingwall Road, Lansdowne Road and Wellesley Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 12 May 2007 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 1 day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
(Vehicular access to properties west of Nos.8/10 Sydenham Road cannot be maintained)
