TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the redevelopment of a site to provide a Continuing Education and Training Service Centre they have made Traffic Orders the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Central Parade, New Addington.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) the existing temporary Order, the Croydon (Central Parade) (Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2006) will be revoked;
(b) the existing one-way working from south-east to north-west in Central Parade imposed by The London Traffic (Prescribed Routes) (Croydon) (No.2) Regulations 1961, will be suspended between the party wall of Nos.54 and 55 Central Parade and the western kerb-line of Salcot Crescent, at its southern junction with Central Parade;
(c) waiting restrictions will be amended to operate between 8am and 6.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive and between 8am and 1.30pm on Saturday in Central Parade, the north-eastern arm, between the party wall of Nos.54 and 55 Central Parade and the western kerb-line of Salcot Crescent, at its southern junction with Central Parade;
(d) 3 disabled parking bays in Central Parade Car Park situated opposite Nos.49 to 52 Central Parade will be removed and 1 additional space will be added in the car park area and a limited time bay converted to a disabled parking bay outside No.51 Central Parade;
(e) some free parking bays and some free limited time parking bays in Central Parade will be suspended, relocated or removed.

3. The Orders will come into operation on 30 April 2007 and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in 12 months. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
