Armour-clad medieval warriors attacked each other with swords while onlookers tucked into Caribbean cuisine as cultures and histories collided at the South Norwood community festival on Sunday.
Other attractions on the day included live music, face painting, arts and crafts stalls, a funfair, slides and bouncy castles.
Anyone not wanting Caribbean food could choose from other fare including burgers, a hog roast, German sausages, Malaysian, Thai, candyfloss and ice cream all washed down with drinks from the Gipsy Hill Brewing Company.
