Thugs hurled eggs at two Muslims in a residential road before driving off last night.
Police are investigating the attack in Briarwood Road, Stoneleigh, at about 8.30pm. It comes less than a week after the terrorist attack in Tunisia in which it is feared 30 British tourists died - although it is not known if last night's incident was prompted by the atrocity in North Africa.
UPDATE: Community leaders condemn egg attack on Muslims after police confirm spate of incidents
