Across the road from West Croydon Station the water authority have been digging up the road and relaying pipes.

This has been going on for weeks and has resulted in the two most used bus stops in Croydon being put out of use. This means bus users have to find their way to a working bus stop at least 10 minutes away.

One wonders why the work involved is not given any kind of priority and subjected to 24 hour activity.

On the face it seems the disturbance to traders and the travellers has not been factored into the work schedule.

Retailers inform me that their trade has fallen by at least 26 per cent since the water works were instituted.

In addition I have not noticed any police officers, council officials or TfL officers helping out with new directions or our traffic wardens helping those using the transport system.
