Pupils at a Kew school tried their hand at an unusual sporting event to raise funds and awareness for an international water aid charity.
As part of sports day on June 4, Kew College students took turns to fill a jerry can, with the oldest pupil carrying the can over a short distance to show what many children in developing countries do each day.
The challenge, in aid of Just a Drop, was initiated by PE teacher Tiki Tabor who is a regular fundraiser for the charity.
She said: "Through the jerry can challenge I wanted to make our pupils aware of the daily difficulties faced by children their own age and inspire them to raise money to combat water poverty."
Kew College previously supported the Just a Drop charity in 2012 and raised £7,000.
