A developer has launched a consultation about its plan to build retirement homes in Upper Norwood.

McCarthy and Stone hopes to redevelop the land at the corner of Beulah Hill and Queen Mary Road and wants to keep the community informed about the plans.

To do this it will be meeting with the immediate neighbours of the site before a public exhibition.

It hopes to incorporate some of the feedback into the scheme before it submits a planning application to Croydon Council.

A McCarthy and Stone spokesman said: "We are committed to engaging with the local community and will be offering residents the opportunity to meet with the project team to discuss the early proposals in the coming weeks.

"This will ensure residents and stakeholders can view and comment on the proposed plans and allow local people to speak with the team and provide feedback."
