I think that your article about the Epsom and St Helier car parking fees is very negative and unfair.
The money we put to the NHS is for medical care and not for the provision of car parks. I have been grateful for being able to park at the Epsom, St Helier and Marsden hospitals, and whilst some people might think the fees are on a commercial scale I have found it so much less costly than having to go to hospital by taxi. If there is continued one-sided press about the car parking fees, people should not be surprised if the NHS administrators contract out the operation of the car parks or worse still sell off the land.
Let's have some letters by people who are pleased to be able to park at the hospitals or have benefited from reduced parking rates for multiple-visit patients.
