The Croydon Guardian has won a Mighty Men of Valour Award for its commitment to the local community.
The news team was nominated for the award alongside companies including Crystal Palace Football Club and the Croydon Advertiser to scoop the award for the business that most supports the local community.
A panel of judges awarded the title to the Croydon Guardian for its work championing Croydon.
Frederick Clarke, Mighty Men co-ordinator, said: "The Croydon Guardian was chosen because the articles in the newspaper support the local community and the campaigns the newspaper runs always look to champion those in Croydon."
The Mighty Men of Valour is a peer support group for men of all ages which encourages, motivates and supports men to identify and fully embrace their role in society using ethical principles and values.
