In response to the letter in the Wimbledon Guardian about recycling PCs, there is the most wonderful recycling centre in Weir Road, Wimbledon, where you can take batteries for recycling as well as any manner of other items including PCs. These are refurbished by a Microsoft-certified charity.
Also, if you take items for recycling, you can take away two free bags of compost.
The site is only open Friday to Monday. Come on Merton Council, it should be open seven days a week.
I would love to see a feature in the Wimbledon Guardian on recycling and green living in general. How about something about allotments - tips for vegetable growers, how to make compost, solar panels, composting toilets?
Go on!
