Two teenagers have been arrested following an armed mugging in Wandsworth.
Officers were patrolling the Doddington estate on Monday when they were were approached by a man in Ravenet Street who told them a robbery was taking place nearby.
When the officers turned the corner they saw a woman crouching down with her handbag open and two teenagers, one who was holding a gun.
The teenagers ran when they saw the police, but were caught and arrested on suspicion of possessing a gun.
As the teenagers did not have a gun with them police called in the Met's air support unit to help them search the area.
A gun was later found on a flat roof near the scene of the mugging.
The teenagers, one aged 14 and the other 17, were bailed to return to a south London police station pending further inquiries.
