Merton detectives have repeated their plea for information about the death of a man found unconscious on a Mitcham street.
Derek Monger, 52, was found unconscious outside Lister Close, Mitcham on Thursday, March 22 about 10.30pm.
He was taken to St George's hospital where he died three days later.
A post mortem found he died from a serious head injury.
Detectives said further tests were taking place to try and establish the cause of the head injury.
Police are trying to trace anyone who may have seen or spoken to Mr Monger between Tuesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 22.
Prior to being found Derek had visited the Railway Bell Public House, London Road, Tooting and was wearing jeans, trainers and a blue coat.
His family said Mr Monger had told them a passing motorist had helped him after he fell on either the Tuesday or Wednesday and police are anxious to speak to them.
Police said they were trying to establish Mr Monger's movements and were keeping an open mind about what might have happened while the investigation continues.
They said Mr Monger's death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
Anyone with information that could help the police should call Wimbledon CID on 020 8649 3039 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
