PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS -
VARIOUS LOCATIONS, CROYDON.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make a Traffic Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce waiting restrictions:-
(a) "at any time" throughout the week in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
(b) between 8am and 6.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive in the length of Station Road, Kenley specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

3. The prohibition referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in certain circumstances, e.g. the picking up or setting down of passengers; the carrying out of statutory powers or duties; the taking in of petrol, etc., from roadside petrol stations; to licensed street traders, etc. The usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person's 'Badge' will apply.

4. A copy of the proposed Order and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, "One Stop" Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

6. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the

7. The proposed Order is intended to introduce 'At any time' waiting restrictions at various locations and waiting restrictions between 8am and 6.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive in a length of Station Road, Kenley. The measures are intended to improve safety by providing increased visibility at junctions, prevent obstructive parking and improve access for emergency and public service vehicles.
