A young woman has been left critically ill after a road traffic accident near Epsom.

Surrey Police said the 18-year-old woman was one of four people travelling in a Ford Fiesta when it collided with a parked car on the B2221 Great Tattenhams Road about 1pm on Monday.

Police said all four were injured but the woman remained in a critical condition.

They have appealed for any witnesses to the accident involving the silver Ford Fiesta and an empty, parked blue Rover 25 saloon near St Marks Road.

Police have urged anyone who saw the "manner of the driving of the Ford" or who witnessed the collision to phone the Surrey accident investigation team on 01932 569 922.
