Prime Minister Tony Blair is backing AFC Wimbledon's bid to get their 18 point deduction overturned on Monday.

This is disgraceful. AFC Wimbledon broke rules agreed by all the clubs in that league, including themselves. I personally think this is a display of arrogance that one could possibly consider that the rules should NOT apply to AFC Wimbledon because they could be perceieved as the biggest club in that league. Many other teams have suffered under the same rule, including Altrincham last season. Yet because this is AFC Wimbledon, it is assumed they should be immune from punishment. If you want to talk about fairness and sportsmanship, then it should be the same rule for everyone, not one rule for AFC and different ones for all the other clubs with just as good a heritage.
