Three pitbulls have been seized in a morning raid on a property in Roundshaw.

Police took the dogs from a house in McIntosh Close after receiving complaints from residents.

Police forced open the door and seized three dogs, who are being held awaiting an inspection by a vet.

Their removal follows numerous complaints to Beddington South and Beddington North Safer Neighbourhood Teams about dangerous dogs in the area.

Sergeant Mark Doliche of Beddington North Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: "This sends out a powerful message to all residents that if they are worried about dangerous dogs in the local area, they should contact their local SNT officers who can investigate and take appropriate action."
