There is no reason why Croydon Council should be unable to deal with the exemption of bus lane fines during bank holidays. It's not problematic' as reported in your article about the £5.5million income from bus lanes for Croydon Council (Council doing fine' with £5.5million from bus lanes, Croydon Guardian, March 7).
I asked the mayor of London about income from his bus lanes during the Christmas and new year break. There is none, as Transport for London simply issue no penalty charge notices for bus lane contraventions on Christmas and new year holidays.
Simple isn't it?
