I wrote to the Director of Transport Highways Department, London Borough of Sutton, two weeks ago asking for help to have a traffic island in Croydon Road near to Beddington Primary School.
As 90 per cent of the traffic travel at speeds in excess of 30mph it is very difficult to cross the road. As yet I have not had a reply, not even any acknowledgement of my letter.
Many years ago people in public services used to sign off with your obedient servant'. I know that times have moved on but I wonder if the roles have now been reversed. They must remember that our council tax goes toward their salary and a little courtesy would not come amiss.
