Arsonists set fire to Sutton Hospital, police officers have said.
The blaze was reported this morning at 9am with Sutton police later saying the fire, which was put out at about 10.30am, was being treated as suspicious.
According to the London Fire Brigade four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to a disused hospital wing on Cotswold Road in Sutton.
A spokesman said: "The fire affected a building of three floors and part of the second was damaged in the blaze.
"Crews remain at the scene cutting away and damping down remaining hot spots.
"Fortunately there were no injuries."

Crews from Purley, Sutton and Wallington fire stations were used.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
