ESHER: Supporters of the Princess Alice Hospice are putting on their running shoes to take part in this year's Flora London Marathon on Sunday, April 22.

The hospice has had a team in the popular event for the last 10 years to raise awareness and vital funds needed to operate the specialist palliative care service. This year the team hopes to raise £30,000.

Nigel Seymour, head of fundraising at the hospice, said: "This is a landmark event in both the sport and charity calendar and it's a great fun day out with thousands of other people. It is also a very humbling experience and all our runners have their own motivation for participating."
