Pupils at Ashburton School celebrated World Book Day last week with a visit from a professional storyteller.
Josh Gaillemin visited the Long Lane school last Thursday and spent the day recounting various stories with pupils.
Since Mr Gaillemin began storytelling in 1998 he has collected a vast collection of stories. He is a popular at museums such as the Horniman and the Victoria and Albert.
Other events planned at the school for World Book Day included a book fair, writing a new school story and using different books and authors for creative writing and artwork.
