The Kingston Pensioners Forum is alarmed at the proposals to reduce services for the elderly in Kingston upon Thames and have invited the Leader of Kingston Council, Derek Osbourne, and the Chief Executive of the Kingston Primary Care Trust, David Smith, to a meeting to report on the various proposals and the effect on those living in the borough.
The meeting will be held at the United Reformed Church, Eden Street, Kingston upon Thames, on Monday, March 12, and will start promptly at 2pm. All pensioners are invited to this meeting.
On Tuesday, February 20, two members of the Forum attended a rally at the Central Hall, Westminster, to protest at the closure of post offices, which play an important role in the community.
