I am currently trying to find out as much as I can about the Tagg family of the Kingston/Hampton area, one of whom (Thomas) gave his name to Tagg's Island.
I would be most grateful to hear from any of your readers who could help me with any information regarding the different branches of the family.
My own particular interest is in the line coming through Rose Tagg (c1879), who was my paternal grandmother and died in 1922, well before I was born.
She married Francis George Maries in Richmond in 1903, at which time I believe she was in domestic service.
My own childhood was spent in New Malden, but it is many years since I lived in Surrey. As I now work and live overseas, I'm including my e-mail address just in case there's someone out there who can help: malcolm.maries@ aramco.com.
