CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4(7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

BEDFORD PARK, BEDFORD PLACE, DINGWALL ROAD, LANSDOWNE ROAD, NEWGATE, SYDENHAM ROAD, TAVISTOCK ROAD, WALPOLE ROAD, WELLESLEY COURT ROAD AND WELLESLEY GROVE,

CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the replacement of old water mains they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic movements in Bedford Park, Bedford Place, Dingwall Road, Lansdowne Road, Newgate, Sydenham Road, Tavistock Road, Walpole Road, Wellesley Court Road and Wellesley Grove, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) no person shall proceed along the footway on;
(i) Bedford Place, the northern side, between its junctions with Lansdowne Road and Dingwall Road;
(ii) Lansdowne Road, the southern side, between its junctions with Wellesley Road and Dingwall Road;
(iii) Newgate, the southern side, from its junction with Wellesley Road eastward for a distance of 52 metres
(iv) Sydenham Road, the southern side, from its junction with Wellesley Road eastward for a distance of 125 metres;
(v) Wellesley Court Road, the eastern side, between its junctions with Walpole Road and Wellesley Grove;
(vi) Wellesley Grove, the northern side, from its junction with Wellesley Court Road eastward for a distance of 75 metres.
(b) 'At any time' waiting and loading restrictions will be introduced in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Notice extending from the junction with the road specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this Notice; All restrictions will be 10 metre lengths unless otherwise specified.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the opposite footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 26 March 2007 and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in 18 months. However no two conflicting aspects of this Traffic Management Order will be implemented at the same time.
