A short message to Gordon Brown who is worrying about charging people outside Greater London for his Olympics stealth tax'.

I must remind him and Tony Blair of their frequent quotes that this sporting event will benefit the whole country. If this is the case should not the whole country pay towards it?

If this was to happen, this yearly sport tax' that will exist over six to 10 years will be spread around the whole country and would be so small that nobody will be too concerned about its cost. It will prove to be a fairer way for the people to look at things.

If the games were to have been held in Manchester it is doubtful London would have got away without paying.
