Prince Charles gave the royal seal of approval to a new £2.4million education centre at Hampton Court Palace.
The Prince of Wales officially opened the Clore Learning Centre at the palace this afternoon.
He chatted to schoolchildren who were learning about life in the Tudor court as he toured the facility.
The Clore Learning Centre will enable the palace to run a broader range of programmes aimed at secondary schools, colleges and adult education students.
Historic Royal Palaces, the charity responsible for the palace, hopes the centre will increase the annual number of education visits to the palace by 50 per cent to more than 100,000 by 2010.
