I was interested to read about Bernard Hastings working for Croydon Council at the age of 79 (Bernard, 79, eager to keep working after all these years, Croydon Guardian, February 14).
I too worked for the council for 27 years but when I was 65 I was told I had to leave because they wouldn't let you work after that age.
I am at home bored and can't get a job because of my age.
Tell me, how is it one rule for one and one rule for another?
