Why does the woman who complained about the House of Fraser advertisement not want to be named (One woman's voice alters House of Fraser policy, Croydon Guardian, February 21)?

Is she not proud of what she has achieved? I often shop in Croydon and would see this advert as referring to clothing.

Why should anyone think that it could possibly be referring to the colour of people's skin? House of Fraser employs people of all races and colours.

As for the poem she refers to, I still don't understand this snippet. What about brown being the new black? I heard this being said a few years ago, and no one complained about it, as far as I am aware.

Why does this woman not complain about the song Young, Gifted and Black? Horror of horrors if the black was replaced with brown, white, yellow, purple or green.
