An extra 20 new primary school PE teachers will be trained up in London under a Government scheme to boost sports lessons.
The group for 2015-16 are among 200 who will start their training nationally this September.
Britt Wilson and Senna Lawrence are among those to be recruited in the capital.
Ms Wilson, 23, has worked in Franciscan Primary School, Tooting, since last September, and said: "I had always wanted to become a PE teacher – however I wanted to work with primary aged children so this scheme was just what I needed.
Mr Lawrence, 24, signed up for the one-year training programme and has been working at Heathmere Primary School, Wandsworth, since last September.
He said: "I chose this particular route because the course offered such variety and hands on experience across the whole primary curriculum."
The London recruits will attend classes at South Bank University – and will get hands on experience in schools across the capital.
