The Voice contestant Charlotte Turnbull says ‘it is not the end of the world’ she didn’t make it to the next round, and will enter the competition again next time.
Ms Turnbull appeared on the BBC prime time show on Saturday, February 21, and performed Oliver Heldens track Gecko (Overdrive).
The 18-year-old said it was ‘surreal’ singing in front of judges Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Rita Ora, and Ricky Wilson, who listened to the performance sat in the famous spinning chairs.
She said: "It was mad, it was crazy. Meeting the judges was surreal but it was a bit cringe watching it all back."
To progress to the next round performers have to be selected by one of the judges, who build a team of contestants to coach through the competition.

The judges start with their backs to the stage, and press a button to spin their chairs around if the performance wins them over.
R&B singer Rita Ora was seen mouthing ‘she’s so amazing during the performance’, but was unable to pick the Wallington singer because her team was already filled.
Ms Turnbull, continued: "It’s not the end of the world, but I was a little bit gutted.
"Still it was a great opportunity and I met a lot of people. I would definitely give it a go next year."
