A landlord accused of stealing a phone from one of his tenants has been on the run for 15 months.
Police have been trying to track down Mohammed Adam since November 23, 2013, when he was the landlord of Beulah House Hotel, Beulah House, Thornton Heath.
He was aware that a warrant had been issued for his arrest but failed to surrender, police said.
On January 9 this year a warrant for his arrest was issued at Croydon Magistrates' Court.
Despite extensive enquiries officers have been unable to track him down.
He is from the Croydon area and has access to several addresses within the borough.
Anyone who knows where Mr Adam is or has seen him should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
UPDATE: Mohamed Adam, aged 54, was cleared of a charge of theft at Croydon Crown Court on May 12, 2017.
