A 16-year-old from St Helier accused of stabbing another teenager in a broad daylight bus attack, has denied both charges against him.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will stand trial at Croydon Crown Court from July 27.
In a hearing at the court this afternoon, the teenager was allowed to sit with his mother and father in the public gallery, as he denied one charge of causing grievious bodily harm with intent.
He also pleaded not guilty to carrying an offensive weapon, which in this case was a knife.
Shahnaz Ahmed, prosecuting, said his trial in the summer was expected to last five days.
The knife attack on October 25 last year sent shockwaves across the borough, after a 15-year-old was left fighting for his life outside a KFC in Rose Hill.
The assault is alleged to have taken place on a bus full of school children at roughly 2.30pm.
Recorder Warwick McKinnon said the accused was under curfew as part of his bail conditions, and could only leave the house accompanied by a parent.
