A suspected cannabis factory was raided during one of two 6am drug raids on the Roundshaw Estate today, January 29.
Officers from Sutton police forced their way into a home in Vickers Close, Wallington, and found the suspected drugs den in the loft.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
A half-filled, plastic ice-cream sized container of suspected drugs was seized along with drug paraphernalia including scales, Sutton police said.
At the second address, in nearby Spitfire Road, officers seized cash after being admitted entry.
Police investigations would later lead officers to an address in Banstead where a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
Safer Neighbourhoods Inspector Ian Hicks said: "Residents should not have to put up with criminal activities.
"We treat all reports seriously and will act on them.
"The more information we have, the better able we are to put a stop to what they are doing."
The arrested man and woman are being questioned at a south London police station.
