A man described as dirty and wearing no shoes or socks, was detained by police after being brought down from a roof.
Officers and a Met Police helicopter were at the scene in Myrtle Road, Sutton, where the events unfolded at roughly midday.
Someone who witnessed the incident but asked not to be named, said: "Many police cars and dog unit arrested a dirty man with no shoes or socks.
"Many concerned neighbours were looking on."
A Met Police spokesperson was unable to confirm if an arrest was made, saying only that someone was detained.
They were also are unable to confirm if any offences were committed.
