A man has pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm after breaking a man's jaw at an under-17s football match.
The match between Horley and Epsom and Ewell under-17 teams turned sour when Adam Holgate punched a man in the face on January 13 last year.
He admitted to punching the victim in his 40s at the start of his trial at Guildford Crown Court last month.
Holgate is due to be sentenced at the same court on Friday, January 23.
According to court records, Holgate lives in Waterfield Green, Tadworth.
After the football match in January, the victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his facial injuries and had to have a metal plate inserted into his mouth as a result of a broken jaw.
