Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock will be hunting down his own Christian Benteke in the January transfer window.
After watching his Eagles come up short in last night’s 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa, in which the Belgian striker scored the only goal, Warnock praised his side’s effort, but rued missing a lack of quality in the box.
He said: “We’re playing well at the moment, but we do need that Benteke - they are hard to come by.
“We’ll be looking for one of those in the January window and hopefully we can get one sooner rather than later.

“If we had ourselves a Benteke then we could have won, we’re just missing that point at the front and a little bit of quality.”
He added: “We’ve got to go to Spurs now, and everyone will write us off but they’re a good group of lads and we’re quite capable of getting a result, so we’ve got to not get too down.”
