Hundreds of families packed-out a shopping centre for its popular Christmas lights switch-on on Saturday.
Lucky children met kids TV presenter Dave Benson Phillips and the other stars of the Epsom Playhouse’s Christmas panto the Wizard of Oz.
A spokeswoman from the Ashley Centre said: "The panto cast were completely astonished by the number of people.
"They were not expecting the crowds there. Wherever you looked there was a sea of people. It was a really, really wonderful day and so many people stayed after the lights switch-on."
The shopping centre provided children’s entertainment and face painting from noon and the switch-on took place at 5pm.
