A teenager has been charged with assaulting two policewomen on Sunday evening.
One policewoman was left with a badly bruised and cut face and the other officer has a sprained wrist.
Both female officers received hospital treatment following the attack on Pine Hill, Epsom, at 6.40pm on Sunday.
East Surrey Chief Inspector Santi Gil, said: "Thankfully both officers assaulted during this incident will make a full recovery.
"One officer sustained a cut above the eye and severe bruising to the face which will take some time to heal. The other officer suffered a badly sprained wrist, but they both demonstrated true professionalism throughout.
"On behalf of all at Surrey Police I wish both officers a speedy recovery."
The policewomen are expected to return to work within a week.
Thomas William Kilbride, 18, of no fixed abode, was charged on Monday and is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court today.
