Plans for a £4.6m refurbishment of the YMCA's Surbiton hostel will go on show next week.
The plans, including new bedrooms and cooking facilities, could be implemented early next year.
YMCA housing director Andy Redfearn said: "As a response to changing expectations, and our desire to provide the best opportunity to prepare our residents to successful move on into the community, we need to allow residents to cook for themselves and no longer have to share toilets and showers."
Funds for the refurbishment have come from the mayor of London, the YMCA said.
Head along to the YMCA next Tuesday, October 14, from 4.30pm to 8.30pm, to view the plans.
