Criminals have cut four underground phone lines in Croydon, causing services to go down across parts of south London
The cables were cut at 5pm on Wednesday, September 24.
BT confirmed certain parts of Croydon were still without a service, but are yet to confirm the other areas across south west London hit.
One tweeter in Sutton claimed two addresses in Beddington were without a dial tone.

Derek Harland, Consulting Podiatrist at Beddington Podiatry Practice in Croydon, had to divert calls to his mobile so he could be contacted by patients.

A BT spokesperson said: "Malicious damage occurred to four large underground cables affecting service in the Croydon area.
"BT’s cable network alarm alerted us.
"Openreach engineers are working around the clock and as fast as they can to replace the underground cables, which are each around 140metres in length.
"The repair work is complex and time-consuming, and engineers are working to restore service as soon as possible."
